Mammoth or Bear Sighting?

This grainy video has popped up from Siberia apparently claiming to be a living mammoth crossing a river. The video is too blurry to clearly make out what the animal is, but most bets are on a bear with a large fish in its mouth.

However, it does make a striking resemblance to a passing woolly mammoth.

New "Habitable" Planet Discovered

A new exoplanet has been discovered 22 light years form Earth circling around a dim red-dwarf star. This super-Earth (GJ667Cc), 4X the size of our planet, rests in it's solar system's habitable zone where temperatures could be just right for the planet to hold liquid water.

GJ667Cc lies in a triple star system. If the planet is indeed rocky, like Earth, and has an atmosphere, perhaps the right conditions for life could be present.

Japanese Scientists Cloning Mammoth

A team of Japanese scientists have discovered well-preserved bone marrow from a mammoth thigh bone buried in Siberia's permafrost. This genetic material just might be enough to see a cloned baby mammoth walking around within five years.

The team intends to replace an elephant's DNA within the nuclei of their egg cells with this woolly mammoth DNA. They will then have a mammoth embryo that they can inject in an elephant mother to gestate and produce an offspring within a couple years time.

In a few decades we may even get to see a herd of woolly mammoths back on Earth.

New Planet Discovered In Habitable Zone

NASA has confirmed a planet existing in the habitable zone of a solar system where liquid water could exist. This planet, Kepler 22-b, is about 2.4X the radius of Earth. It is unknown if the planet is rocky or gaseous, but it's still a great find.

So far, since February, the Kepler team has discovered over 2300 new worlds out in the cosmos. Many of these new planets are found to be Earth-like in size and quite a few have been found near the habitable zones of their solar systems. However, Kepler-22b is the first to be confirmed by NASA.

Big Headed Mummified Peruvian Alien

A very bizarre looking mummy corpse has been discovered down in Peru. The being has an unusual triangle-shaped head resembling that of a typical big-eyed large cranium alien.

What do you guys think? Could this be the remains of an alien grey or other species from out of this world, or is it just some bizarre human deformation or just a hoax?

Hard to say here... I doubt alien, but we do live in a mysterious world.

Existence of Yeti Proven

A regional government in Siberia claims indisputable evidence of Yeti's existence. Local administration of the Kemerovo region in southern Siberia held a conference and invited researchers from the U.S., Canada and other countries to search for evidence of the famed ape-like creature, similar to the North American Bigfoot or Sasquatch creature.

Officials suggest evidence of footprints and perhaps hair samples, including a potential yeti den and other various clues provide enough proof of the mysteriously elusive giant ape man's existence.

Tatooine has been Discovered! New Binary Star System!

Scientists have discovered an unusual solar system with two stars and at least one planet circling them. Imagine the planet Tatooine, from Star Wars, where Luke Skywalker grew up.

The largest star is being circled by a smaller star with the planet out far enough to keep a stable elliptical orbit around both. Pretty amazing discovery! I imagine there'd be some beautifully stunning sunsets and sunrises on that planet.

Large Meteorite Sighting in Southwest?

A large streak of light was seen hurdling across the American Southwest Wednesday night (9/14/11). Rumor has it the debris could have been from a defunct satellite chunk that is said to be losing orbit in the next few days, but scientists say this was probably just a space rock.

It was most likely an asteroid the size of a basketball or so. Nonetheless it caused quite a stir to witnesses who clogged up 911 lines with word of UFOs, mysterious lights and comet sightings.

A Diamond Planet

Scientists have discovered a planet 4000 light years away orbiting a pulsar in a tight circle every two hours at a distance of about 300,000 miles. The pulsar itself is spinning at 10,000 a minute. This planet is believed to be a dead white dwarf star that's been stripped of all it's gases by the pulsar. All that is left is a highly dense carbon core.

This intense heat and density, about 18X that of water, has potentially turned much of the carbon on the planet/star into crystals... thus diamond. So if you want to be the richest being in our galaxy, let's book a trip there! Course with today's fastest technology, it'd take about 17 billion years to reach. So bring a Kindle.

Odd Animal Caught On Video

This poor creature was caught on video after curious hospital workers in the D.C. area spotted it in a nearby wooded area. Clearly no resemblance to the famed Chupacabra description, but nonetheless a very odd looking naked animal. My guess would be a manged fox, but seeing as how I've never seen a fox naked before, who knows.

Water on Mars!

Scientists have officially confirmed water exists on Mars. Images compared over time reveal streams of dark red rivulets snaking down mountainsides where once, none were found. It's not clear where the water comes from. It could be underground reservoirs or melt run-off from the surface, but its certain to be water in a salty form. Salt water freezes at lower temps which would have to be the case on the icy red planet.

Lizard Man in South Carolina

Mysterious sightings and unusual car damage has been seen in Lee County, South Carolina. Sightings of a 7ft tall, red-eyed lizard creature were spotted back in the 1980s in this region with reports of unusual claw and teeth marks on vehicles in the surrounding area.

Recent similarly identical damage to a couple's car has just recently been discovered as well. Is this legend true? What creature could do such incredible damage to a metal car? Who knows? But certainly a peculiar mystery to look into.

Giant Storm on Saturn

The Cassini probe monitoring Saturn now, picked up an enormous storm forming in Saturn's upper half last December. Now the storm has grown and wrapped itself around the entire planet at the 35 degree north latitude.

This giant disturbance is 500 times larger than the previous storm on Saturn viewed by Cassini back in 2009/2010. The lightening is 10 times more frequent as before with 10 lightening flashes per second at it's most intense.

The storm is proposed to have formed due the planet's angle to the sun and the seasonal changes occurring on the planet at this time. Needless to say, it's the largest disturbance witnessed on Saturn in record. Click HERE for NASA article.

Beast Dog Terrorizing People and Pets in Vietnam

Hundreds of people are panicked over a mysterious canine that has been killing their pets in the Vietnam region of Binh Dong Commune of Binh Son District in Quang Ngai . A few have made sightings of a slender beast has reportedly bitten several people and mutilated or eaten a number of dogs and other domesticated animals. Large foot prints have also been spotted measuring 12-15 cm long.

New Earth-like Planet Discovery

A new exo-planet has been discovered that could be habitable, lying in the "Goldilocks Zone" (an area not too cold and not too hot) from its star, Gliese 581d. This star and planet are only about 20 light years away as well, although close in cosmic terms, it'd still take about 300,000 years to reach with current technology.

Nonetheless, given this planet's proximity to its star, it could be like Earth with liquid water and a dense CO2 atmosphere giving it the higher potential for life.

Ring of Fire Activity on the Increase

The past several years seems to have seen more frequent occurrences of natural disasters. First with the Indonesian earthquake and devastating tsunami in late 2004. Then the earthquakes in Chile last year. On top of that we've had a couple volcanic eruptions in South East Asia. Now we have this giant 9.0, possible 9.1 earthquake/tsunami disaster in Japan.

Check out these skyscrapers sway recently in Japan.

Combine that with the disasters in Haiti last year and earthquakes in the middle east and the volcano eruption in Mt Etna this past year. Hawaii's Kilauea has been acting up more lately as well. Natural disasters seem to becoming the norm. Not to mention the recent rash of severe storms. What is Mother Earth trying to tell us? Get OFF! I suppose.

UK National Archives Releases 8500 pages worth of UFO Files

The UK National Archives recently released 8500 pages worth of UFO reports and sightings throughout the U.K. Several of these can be explained away as hoaxes or other phenomena, but many are left unexplained. Despite this giant release of comprehensive reports, there are apparently large gaps of missing files, including files from the Rendlesham Forest incident (or the British Roswell).

Certain rumors persist that a new cold war may me imminent over which superpower will be the first to release the fact about ETs here on Earth. Mysterious Lights in the Sea Related to Chilean Earthquake

Reports of mysterious glowing lights emerging from the sea have popped up along the coast of Chile for years, but there seems to be an increase of these sightings around the time of the strong earthquakes that have happened there the past year.

Some of these reports mention glowing sphere of light that emerge from the sea or that can be seen underwater moving around. Other lights have been spotted hovering in the air just about the ocean and zipping around and vanishing suddenly.

Are these lights related to the recent earthquake activity in that area? Unlikely, but these strange reports still persist which make that area of the globe a hot spot of UFO and USO activity.

Mysterious Bird Die Off

Thousands of Redwinged Blackbirds and starlings have been falling from the skies in Arkansas, Louisiana and Kentucky. It is unknown what is causing these mysterious deaths. They seem to have internal trauma and theories raised include a variety of weather or atmospheric phenomena, power lines, fireworks and even the possibility they were struck by vehicles.

Perhaps coincidental, but equally strange, massive fish kills have been popping up in Arkansas, along the coast of Brazil and in the Chesepeake Bay areas. Are these all coincidental? Seems bizarre, but perhaps it's the sign of some future catastrophe that will befall us come the end of 2012.

NASA Discovers New Lifeform

NASA has discovered a new life form, a bacteria that uses arsenic to form its DNA, RNA, proteins and cell membranes. This is unlike any other life found on Earth. All other life on Earth are comprised of carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorus, hydrogen and sulfur.

This bacteria, called GFAJ-1, was found in Mono Lake, California and uses the normally poisonous arsenic element as its building blocks. This breaks the ideas that other life outside this planet must have the same elements to survive as offered here on Earth. That's proven here on our own planet, life can exist in otherwise hostile conditions using elements typically poisonous to life here.

Bacteria Found a Mile Underground

Scientists have discovered bacteria thriving over a mile down near the Earth's mantle in an area called the gabbroic layer where temperatures boil around 102 C or 215 F. These bacteria are feeding off hydrocarbons like methane and benzene, similar to bacteria found in oil reserves and contaminated soil. There is suggestion that these same micro-organisms could exist deeper within the mantle region.

Not to mention, this gives even more credibility to the potential for life outside this planet in more extreme conditions on Mars or Jupiter and Saturn's moons, like Titan (proven to have plenty of methane).

Mysterious Lights Over El Paso

Mysterious lights were seen over El Paso on October 15, 2010, just a week after the commotion over the UFO sightings in Manhattan which were admitted to being balloons. These El Paso lights however are clearly not balloons.

For one they were seen at night, plus they look to start out as falling flares. Could this be flares from a military operation? Possibly, but it is unknown at this time if anyone has revealed knowledge of where these lights came from.

The mysterious part, is these lights, or flares, after falling, stopped at a given level and formed a triangular pattern. Too little information, besides eye witness accounts have been provided with this story, but here is the article source and a video showing the lights.

New Habital Planet Discovered

Scientists have discovered a planet that is 20 light years away (practically in our backyard), that is most likely a rocky planet with an atmosphere lying in a habitable zone within its solar system. It is 3 times larger than Earth and circling the red dwarf star, Gliese 581g.

It is one of 6 known planets to be circling this star (the most planets discovered around one solar system so far (not including ours). This planet is locked to the star, meaning one side always faces the hot star, the other side faces the cold darkness of space. So the habitable zone would be a small strip on the planet with an average estimated temperature between -24 and 10 degrees F.

UN to Appoint Space Ambassador

The UN has possibly appointed a Space Ambassador to be the representative for alien contact. Astrophysiscist, Dr. Mazlan Othman has apparently been appointed this distinguished position. US Air Force Officers Talk About UFOs

7 US Air Force personnel open up about their experiences with UFO sightings on Monday (Sept 27, 2010) at the National Press Club event. Most of the discussion centered on UFO sightings associated around nuclear arms sites. The officers in general seem to think the UFOs were shutting down the facilities and monitoring them. Perhaps to send a message to the human race that nuclear warfare is something that must not be considered in order for us to survive.

Why the UFOs were there are just opinions, certainly these officers do not have the knowledge whether these UFOs are super classified human spacecraft, alien craft or something altogether unimaginable. On top of that, no one would know the true intentions of the craft monitoring the nuke sites and shutting them down.

One thing is certain, these men are not lying. You can tell with some, how nervous they are in retelling their witness stories.

Witness Describes UFO Encounter

Recently this month, witnesses in Bend, Oregon, described encountering a mysterious flying craft in the classic UFO shape of a triangle. It had bright lights underneath and seemed to speed off at incredible speeds and come to a full stop immediately without deceleration.

The witnesses watched this craft zip around the sky like this for a while, at one point coming within 500 feet of them, before disappearing entirely. Here are some drawings by the witnesses that place it very similarly with other triangular shaped ufo sightings around the world.

6 former U.S. Airforce officers and one enlisted man plan to break their silence this coming Monday (Sept 27) at the National Press Club, all centering around UFO's and nuclear missiles. Two Asteroids Near Miss Wednesday

Two asteroids did a close fly-by between Earth and the Moon today. Both rocks are relatively small, 20-50 ft across, but could still do damage if they were to hit the planet. The unnerving thing about these two space rocks were that they were only recently discovered to be headed in our direction.

NASA announced these rocks were discovered Sept 5th, and the public were only made aware 12 hours before the asteroids were to pass by. Scary thought.

Chupacabra Strikes Again

Mexican farmers have been suffering from an unusual set of attacks again lately on their goat livestock. 36 goats have been found mysteriously killed and mutilated with their throats cleanly ripped out and some beheaded. The report suggests there is little blood and the wounds are brutal yet unusually precise.

Some blame wild dogs, but the only stray dogs to be discovered in the area were found to have no remains of goat inside them. Locals blame the vicious cryptid, the Chupacabra for these killings. Others believe its another type of mysterious creature that shapeshifts. Whatever is doing this, one thing is for sure, it's very disturbing.

Kepler Telescope Continues to Discover

The Kepler telescope continues to find new worlds outside our solar system. Just recently 3 new planets were found in our Milky Way galaxy around 100 light years out circling another star.

Two of the new planets are just slightly smaller than Saturn and the third one is only about 1.5 times the size of Earth. These new discoveries take us one step closer to revealing the potential for life on other planets, scientists admit. Some believe that the discovery of life outside Earth, most likely microbial at this point, will be announced within the next 5 years.

Neptune's First Full Orbit

140 Earth-like Planets Newly Discovered

Scientists have recently discovered over 700 exoplanets, planets outside our solar system, using the new Kepler telescope. Out of those, 140 are estimated to be very similar to Earth in size and rocky formation. In comparison, before this giant discovery, we only knew of 500 or so exoplanets.

Each of these discoveries have to be researched to prove the validity of these results, but some scientists are now saying that rocky worlds like our own are far from rare in the Milky Way, and perhaps they even dominate our galaxy.

These findings are unbelievable and very exciting. It's only a matter of time until our technology reveals the presence or chance for life to exist elsewhere in our galaxy.

Supposed Chupacabra sightings in Texas

According to this report, residents in northern Texas have been spotting a few unidentifiable creatures lately that some are considering to be the mysterious chupacabra creature. One farmer shot and killed one of these creatures as seen in this film. However, it is clear this animal is some sort of canine, perhaps a mangy dog or coyote.

These animal sightings are all most likely explainable as hairless, diseased dogs, raccoons or other canine type creatures. However, other reports in history, give a much more bizarre description to "chupacabra" sightings. We're talking creatures with giant bug eyes, spines, long claws and bat wings. This obviously isn't the description shown of this creature here, but whatever these animals are, they are indeed bizarre looking.

UFO Shuts Down Chinese Airport

A UFO seen by authorities on a radar, then in the sky by several witnesses, caused the shutdown of China's Xiaoshan Airport. After the unidentified object was spotted flights were cancelled and passengers ordered off planes for an hour in Hangzhou, China, Wednesday night (July 7).

Several hours before the incident at the airport, several people spotted a brightly lit, elongated object flying in the sky. Whether this object was a secret military aircraft or something more mysterious, authorities are not speaking about it.

Life Potential on Titan

Jupiter Stripe Disappears

One of Jupiter's large prominent red stripes has disappeared. Scientists say this actually happens once every 3-15 years. It's called the South Equatorial Belt Disturbance. So no real need to be too alarmed. Having said that, however, there are a number of discoveries the past few years, such as the hexagonal shape in Saturn's pole, the Sun's long period with lack of sunspots, although those have returned, among other things.

Maybe our climate change disturbance isn't entirely man-made, but more the result of a cosmic shift in our galaxy. Only time will tell...

Resurrected Mammoth Blood Created

Giant Crustacean or Sea Monster?

Okay, to be fair, there I'd say this giant crustacean found deep in the ocean would qualify as a pretty horrifying sea monster. This two and a half foot long oceanic isopod, closely related to the rolly-pollys or wood louse you'd find in your backyard, was found clinging to a deep sea ROV (remotely operated vehicle).

These have been seen deep on the ocean floor devouring whale and squid carcasses. They remind me of something from prehistoric times or perhaps that frightening giant bug sequence in Peter Jackson's King Kong. Terrifying looking, yes... but I suppose the Earth has a niche for everything.

An infrared telescope has discovered several dark asteroids who's orbits lurk very close to Earth's. They have gone undiscovered due to their dark surfaces, some as black as asphalt, preventing them from reflecting much of the sun's light.

Scientists found 16 new dark objects in just 6 weeks. They say there could be thousands out there yet to be discovered by this infrared telescope. Many of these objects could pose serious threat to Earth if their paths ever collide.

Mysterious Gigantic Spheres Appear Around Sun

Huge, planet-sized spheres have appeared in official NASA images of the sun taken by NASA's Stereo Spacecraft in space recently. These unexplainable objects apparently appeared in these images on January 21, 2010. When compared to other images, they appear to be moving as well.

They are floating within the Sun's corona which is a superheated area (1-3 million kelvins) that extends millions of kilometers into space from its surface. What could withstand that heat plus the sun's gravitational forces that close?

Are the spheres just some form of natural plasma reaction or trick of lighting? Some theorize they could be some form of alien device or craft. If it's the later, then they are the size of Earth or larger and that's a very unsettling thought. Why hasn't NASA explained these anomalies? Very bizarre...

True-Colors of a Dinosaur Revealed

A new study in the journal Science revealed that scientists have decoded the true color of a long extinct feathered dinosaur, the 155-million-year-old Anchiornis huxleyi. It looked like a woodpecker the size of a chicken as pictured here.

The feathered dinosaur species' color patterns were decoded after the scientists used a scanning electron microscope to study pigment samples taken from the fossilized feathers and then compared to pigment samples from modern birds.

I came across this interesting article discussing strange extinct animals. Everything from dinosaurs to large mammals and birds to the enormous ape, Gigantopithecus, that was 10 feet tall... Bigfoot perhaps? haha Some people believe sightings of "Bigfoot" could be long lost Gigantopithecus individuals. Who knows?

Space Debris to Whiz Past Earth

An object has just recently been discovered to be whizzing past us shortly at a distance of just 80,000 miles away, only a third of the way from here to the moon. That's super close, but thankfully, it's relatively small, so even if it were to hit us, which it won't, it wouldn't do any damage.

The news is that this object gives us a new standard of detection to go by. We are now able to detect objects 10 meters wide (33 ft) with the potential to strike Earth within two days. Not much of a warning, but two days warning is better than none, I supposed.

Oldest Land Vertebrate Footprint Discovered

Scientists in Poland have recently discovered the oldest footprints ever discovered of a tetrapod on land. The most fascinating part is that these footprint markings, found in stone, are at least 18 million years older than the earliest tetrapod fossil. These amphibious animals are thought to have walked up on land around 395 million years ago.

Russia May Attempt to Push Away Asteroid

Russia may try an attempt to push the asteroid, Apophis, out of Earth's path if the chance of impact is warranted. For those that aren't aware of Apophis, the 880-megaton asteroid is currently revolving around in our neighborhood and has already passed by once in 2004. It will circle back around again in 2029 with no chance of impact, but then in 2036 it'll swing back by closer with a 1 in 250,000 chance of hitting us. Those are rather narrow odds, (closer than the odds of being hit by lightening) but not enough to cause immediate panic in the streets just yet.

However, the head of Russia's Federal Space Agency, Anatoly Perminov, disagrees. He says that his colleagues claim the massive asteroid could hit Earth in 2032. If that happens, there is a big chance it'll hit Russia. Needless to say, if this is true, Russia has a lot to worry as well as the rest of humanity. Compare 880-megatons of asteroid to the 1400-megatons of the entire US nuclear arsenal deployed at once (one megaton = approximately 77 Hiroshima bombs). Not a pretty thought for any of us, no matter where you lie in relation to the impact.

So if the plan is set in motion, the Russian Space Agency will fire off a rocket to Apophis in an attempt, not to blow it up, but to push it off course. This could be an easy thing to do if all goes well. Just a tiny shove could be enough to send Apophis in a non-Earth threatening trajectory. If it fails, it could make things worse in our cosmos and send a chaotic mess of blazing death towards us all.

Most scientists still consider the asteroid a non-threat for now, but it is chilling to consider the majority of the human race could be being kept in the dark on this matter and perhaps this bit of news from Russia is a bit of a leak of the real truth. Time will tell...

Voyager Spacecraft Detects Space Cloud

The Voyager spacecrafts (launched in the 1970s) have traveled millions of miles to the edge of our solar system. They have detected an interstellar cloud, or galactic "fluff" as scientists call it. This highly magnetized cloud is heading right through our solar system.

NASA scientists claim there could be interesting times ahead for us. Whether that means minimal precaution for astronauts to take in space due to an increase in cosmic rays or perhaps more alarmingly a catastrophic climatic event sometime in the future, who knows? All that is certain is that this galactic cloud is headed our way and the sun does seem to be acting very peculiarly with such little sunspot activity the past several years.

Super Earth

Another Earth-like planet, labeled a "super Earth" due to its size, has been recently discovered 13 parsecs away. This giant Earthlike planet has water and is possibly 75% water. Some scientists even theorize the planet to have an unimaginable watery core.

The planet is very close to it's star, making it boiling hot as well, which extends the mystery as to why the water wouldn't boil off being so close to it's star. Although, finding a planet with water, no matter what the hostile conditions, could still mean some bizarre life could exist there.

Ice Age in 2 Months?

Canadian scientists have discovered an ice age can happen fairly suddenly, similar (though not as dramatically) as in the movie, The Day After Tomorrow.
13,000 years ago, a small age came on suddenly freezing lakes solid within a matter of months when a giant inland freshwater sea broke it's banks and poured into the Atlantic and Arctic oceans creating a disruption in the ocean current circulation. These scientists discovered that this disruption altered the climate into a mini-ice age that took over 200 years to recover.

Could it happen again today? Some scientists say if Greenland's icecap continues to melt at the increased rate as it does today, it could potentially cause another disruption to the ocean's circulation. Thus, altering our climate in a rather short and alarming amount of time.

Tiny Creature in Bedroom Cam

I don't know where this came from or the story behind it, but it was sent to me today by a friend and it is pretty spooky if it's real. With all the popularity surrounding the recent Paranormal Activity movie all filmed on a home camera set up in the bedroom, this creeps me out even more.

Now what I'd really like to see is this thing clearer, up close and watch to see if it's legs or arms move more at the joints. Otherwise, it does just look like someone is moving a tall doll-like figure around the side of the doorway.

The world's largest orb weaving spider has been discovered in South Africa. The female Nephila Komaci can grow up to 40 mm long and spin a web a meter wide. It makes you wonder what creatures they could be catching in that enormous web? Even more unusual, this species has developed an incredible sexual size dimorphism causing the male to grow only 9 mm long.

The tiny male has to be small in order to climb the immense web without coaxing the giant female to eat him instead of allowing him to mate. On the other hand, the female evolved to be the large size for a better chance at surviving.

You can see in these photos how tiny the male is on the female's back. He almost looks like a parasite. I'm loving all these new animal discoveries scientists are finding all over the world. Like the fanged frog and the giant tame rat in Indonesia that were recently found. It's hard to believe that we're still finding such extraordinary creatures on land in the 21st century.

Spaceman it is NOT

An unfortunate creature was beaten to death outside of city in Panama recently. Children saw this naked animal crawl out of a cave apparently and out of fear the children beat the creature to death then tossed it's body in a river. The kids apparently thought it was an alien.

The dead giveaway of a distinctive claw revealed the poor animal to be a hairless sloth. Why is it hairless, who knows? Why was this animal in a cave? Good question. Did it deserve a senseless beating from a bunch of feral kids. Hell no!

Such a shame. Even more absurd is that if this really were a newly discovered creature or an alien from another world, what's to keep someone from killing it before it can get into safe hands? Why do some humans automatically seek to kill out of fear before asking questions. Granted these were kids that killed this animal, but many adults would kill first and think later.

Lockness Monster on Google Earth???

Lot's of wild things have been spotted on Google Earth from strange glowing UFO-like orbs to the lost city of Atlantis. Apparently someone thinks they have spotted what looks to be a large creature floating near the surface in this body of water seen below.

There is something strange in these pictures. You can seem to make out what looks to be flippers attached to a large oval shape, but the skeptic in me screams hoax here or at the very least, optical illusion.

New movie about alien abductions will creep you out

I recently viewed a movie trailer for a film called The Fourth Kind. It looks freaky as hell. Starring Milla Jovovich, it follows the stories of actual case studies of mentally troubled patients in Nome, Alaska, that experienced being stalked and abducted by mysterious alien beings.

The film puts re-enacted footage parallel to supposed actual case footage of doctor patient sessions with the alien abduction victims. Whether or not this supposed real footage is REAL or not is up for debate (it's a movie so of course it's not real), but the story nonetheless is exceptionally creepy.

Here's a synopsis of the film:

1n 1972, a scale of measurement was established for alien encounters. When a UFO is sighted, it is called an encounter of the first kind. When evidence is collected, it is known as an encounter of the second kind. When contact is made with extraterrestrials, it is the third kind. The next level, abduction, is the fourth kind. This encounter has been the most difficult to document ... until now.

Structured unlike any film before it, The Fourth Kind is a provocative thriller set in modern-day Nome, Alaska, where-mysteriously since the 1960s-a disproportionate number of the population has been reported missing every year. Man Touches Crop Circle Making Orb

Several crop circle formations have been associated with the mysterious creation by white glowing orbs. A couple men in England were investigating a crop formation that looked like an Aztec bird on June 30th of this year when they noticed a silvery orb hovering just towards the horizon near the formation.

The orb hovered a bit then descended down below the horizon. The men got out to investigate. While one stayed back to film and take pictures, the other man, Andrew Pyrka, ventured out into the field toward where they last spotted the orb. Suddenly, the man who stayed farther back spotted the orb directly in front Andrew in the field. Andrew mysterious couldn't spot the orb, but he reached up to touch whatever might be above him and got a sudden jolt of electric shock. He said he felt nothing solid, but definitely felt the shock and energy of the object that seemed to hover invisible above him. His friend, yards away, actually spotted the object above Andrew and got it all on film.

Buzz Aldrin Mentions Potential Otherworldly Objects in Space

With the 40th Anniversary of the first moon landing by Apollo 11 in 1969 upon us, it's interesting to learn that the three astronauts aboard Apollo 11, Niel Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Mike Collins all saw and reported to Houston of seeing an unidentified flying object near them. They radioed to Houston to ask where a certain piece of the rocket was located that had earlier ejected from them, and that object was too far off to be this mysterious object that they were staring at through their window.

Here, Buzz Aldrin talks about that experience.

In this later video, Buzz discusses another most intriguing thing that there is what looks like a monolith on the surface of the Phobos (the moon of Mars). The second video may not be the object he's talking about, but if it is... that shadow the object is casting is bizarrely long, giving the impression of a long, slender monolith shaped thing.

It's just interesting to me that we have these astronauts, scientifically trained individuals, many of which admit to seeing and/or knowing about mysterious unidentified flying objects up in space. These are the few individuals that have had the exceptional luck to view our planet from the outside. If anyone has a better chance of seeing otherworldly objects flying or floating around out there, it'd be them. Why aren't these encounters being seriously publicized? Why are the governments of the world holding us back from learning more about what could exist outside our tiny, self-centered world? It's a shame.

Jupiter Struck by Object AGAIN

Jupiter was struck by something recently near it's south pole. An amateur astronomer, Anthony Wesley of Australia, noticed a dark spot near Jupiter's pole on July 20, 2009. Oddly enough, it's been 15 years exactly since Jupiter was struck by the Shoemaker-Levy 9 comet pieces that left behind similar scars on the surface of Jupiter's swirling atmosphere.

You can see the spot where the object hit in this infrared image above. NASA scientists took a closer look at this region to determine that it was indeed struck most likely by a comet or asteroid sometime between July 17th and 19th.

Certainly many of these and other secretive craft that have yet to be declassified may be mistaken by witnesses as UFOs. However, many UFO sightings are reported as slow moving craft that emit virtually little if any sounds. Most of the aircraft above, with the exception of perhaps the blimp appear to be noisy super fast machines. Not the typical UFO sighting that hovers in one spot or glides slowly over the horizon then often zips upward into space at inconceivable speeds.

The military surely has bizarre technology and aircraft to be mistaken as UFOs, but some of the technology that has been spotted by UFO observers seem beyond our known human capabilities.

I just keep finding these videos on YouTube that blow my mind away. The last one here of the blinking light going across the horizon of the dark Earth then flying out into space. What the hell is that? If it's a trick of a light reflection from the camera or window or something, it's pretty erratic.

There are whole treasure troves of these NASA videos on the internet. Incredible if these objects aren't just tricks of the eye or inanimate space debris.

New Montauk Monster found

A new specimen of the "Montauk Monster" was found washed up on a beach near Southold, New York recently. These new bizarre remains look similar to the creature that washed up on a beach near Montauk, NY last year. Scientists believe it is a raccoon corpse, like they assumed the Montauk creature to be, but it's still very odd looking even for a raccoon.

Of course, a decomposing creature floating in the ocean for a while is going to become unrecognizably bizarre. The body is still mysterious and provoking a lot of rumors and chatter on the internet.

Crop Circle Formations

Crop circle formations are most often considered to be hoaxes by a lot of people. Certainly a number or majority of crop circles are created by man. However, how does one explain a massive and intricately formed circle that appears over night with no trace of human damage to the crop plants and mysterious features to the impacted crop?

A number of people, including scientists have discovered that some of these circles show that the plants in question have bizarre indications of experiencing high levels of heat damage in their stems. Most of these circles are noticed to have been formed over night as well. How could a group of people slip in undercover at night and within a few hours create such intricate and complex shapes without obvious trampling damage to the surrounding crop?

In some cases, these formations have been associated with being created by mysterious balls of light. In fact some videos have surfaced of these orbs creating crop circles in an extremely fast manner. Now certainly, these videos could be hoax creations, but when you match various eye-witness accounts of orb lights with these videos the comparison seems to prove itself.

On top of these accounts, many eye-witnesses reveal that upon discovering these formations, they often see black military style helicopters fly in, hover as if to observe the creation, then speed away in the direction they came from. Of course, questions remain obviously, what are these ball of light? Where do they come from? Are the circles manmade, natural or extraterrestrial in origin?

Some people have even found patterns in these shapes that match up to our astronomical features; including the phases of the moon, orientations of our solar system and even patterns in our sun's solar activity.

Hubble Docking with Atlantis Space Shuttle

Just thought I'd share the docking of the Hubble telescope with the space shuttle Atlantis footage here. The Hubble is due for some replacements and repairs to continue operating another 5 more years, or until 2014. It's amazing how precise this procedure is considering the speed the shuttle and telescope are orbiting at above this planet. The astronauts will perform 5 spacewalks during this procedure. It takes amazing skill to do these operations. Pretty impressive.

Yes, French scientists have discovered a spectacular survival feature some spiders have developed to prevent death by drowning. Through an experiment where a few species of wolf spider were submerged in water and drowned, it was revealed that the spiders could survive by inducing a coma.

In the experiment the spiders were immersed in salt water and jostled with a brush every two hours to see if there was a response. The spiders all drown after 24-36 hours depending on the species. After drowning, the spiders were left out to dry for weighing purposes. That's when things got bizarre.

The spiders began to twitch after a couple hours and eventually all spiders revived and were scurrying around like normal. This is the first time arthropods have been discovered to come back to life from comas after submersion. It is thought the spiders switch to a metabolic process that doesn't require them to use air. It is possible there are other organisms that could have the same potential for escaping death by drowning.

Former Astronaut Speaks Out About UFOs

Former NASA astronaut, Edgar Mitchell, who flew in the 1971 Apollo 14 mission, has gone on record stating extraterrestrials exist and that the truth is being concealed by the US and other world governments.

Mitchell spoke at the recent X-Conference, at a meeting for UFO activists and researchers. In his statement, he quoted, "Our destiny, in my opinion, and we might as well get started with it, is [to] become a part of the planetary community. ... We should be ready to reach out beyond our planet and beyond our solar system to find out what is really going on out there."

Mitchell not only went to the moon and back, but he grew up in Roswell, New Mexico, the site that became famous for an alleged UFO crash site in 1947. He is certain the crash occurred, yet was quickly covered up by government officials and witnesses were all hushed and threatened to stay quiet.

Mitchell claims a military admiral from the Pentagon once told him the Roswell crash was confirmed true, but the admiral was denied access when he tried to get into the "inner workings of that process". That same admiral today, now denies the whole story. Who's telling the truth, Mitchell, a former astronaut, or the military admiral?

I tend to side with Edgar Mitchell on this one. He's the one who's been up to space. He's also not the only astronaut to reveal knowledge and belief in extraterrestrial life.

Kepler Mission

There are over 200 billion known stars in our galaxy alone. We have discovered over 300 extrasolar planets (planets outside our solar system) circling other stars since 1995. Most of these newly discovered planets are immensely large, hot gaseous giants. Which would seem to indicate an unlikely possibility of life could exist there. However, lately astronomers have been discovering more and more rocky planets, much like our own or Mars, that have a higher likelihood to inhabit life as we know it.

With the launch of the Kepler telescope by NASA this past month, astronomers hope to discover even more planets circling far off stars in our galaxy. With any luck smaller and smaller planets will be revealed and the likelihood of finding a planet much like Earth can increase. If a planet is found with water, there could be a chance it could harbor life. Life as we know it today can exist where there's water and heat. Some extreme microbes have been discovered on our planet living in the most desolate areas on Earth. Life has been found 7 miles below the surface of the ocean and 2 miles deep underground. Life could possibly exist under vast frozen oceans on the moons of Europa and Enceladus in our solar system.

Kepler is a great start in the search for extraterrestrial life and other planets, however taking a look at the area Kepler will focus on in our galaxy compared to the rest of the galaxy, much less the entire universe, gives us a very limited viewpoint. Especially if you imagine, our Milky Way, with it's 200 billion some odd stars, is only one galaxy in 100 billion some odd known galaxies in the entire observed universe. That's a lot of potentially undiscovered worlds and stars that we can only imagine exist out there. Much less, the thought that life had to arise on other equally suitable planets as our own would only be a given if our universe is as vast and full of stars and planets as we realize.

If you have any doubts unidentified space craft are visiting our planet and flying around in our part of the solar system, take a look at this video and you'll see proof that certainly something else is out there, besides our astronauts. This compilation of NASA footage shows obvious signs of unnatural objects meandering all around our orbit and around our moon. Some of this can be explained away as photographic artifacts, reflections of light or man-made space junk floating around in space, but how can you explain an object that skids across the surface of the moon in one direction, slows down, then ventures off at a completely different angle. Objects hurdling through space go only one direction unless they hit something, that's straight. Some of this information is backed up by professional astronauts and members of NASA.

Jupiter's Big Red Spot is Shrinking!

Apparently Jupiter's Great Red Spot has shrunk by 15% between 1996-2006. The giant red spot, which is actually an enormous hurricane like storm that is three Earths wide has lost in essence 1 km per day during that decade. For years, astronomers have noticed the storm's winds and clouds waning as well as other changes to the planet's atmosphere.

The large storm has been a permanent fixture on the planet for as long as Jupiter's been discovered. Jupiter is not the only planet experiencing strange and unusual phenomena in our solar system the past decade or so. Some scientists, such as the Russian scientists I mentioned in the previous blog entry, believe some new changes are occurring in our region of space that could be causing such an assortment of peculiar events. Whatever might be disrupting our solar system could also be instigating changes such as global warming on our planet.

Falling Sky Debris Update

The falling sky debris witnesses noticed in several states along the East Coast around 9:45 on Sunday night has been explained away as being the second stage of the Russian Soyuz rocket that entered space a few days ago. Jeff Chester, of the Naval Observatory claims that the second stage of the Soyuz rocket, which entered space last Thursday, was scheduled to plummet back to Earth during a window sometime after 8:00 pm Sunday night along the east coast of the United States.

Strange, conflicting claim, because the United States Air Force has come back with information stating that whatever fell from the sky Sunday night was NOT man-made. The USAF Joint Space Operations Center tracks some 19,000 man-made objects in space, but no natural objects. So what was this object? Space junk? Like the acclaimed space junk that kept interrupting the International Space Station and U.S. Space Shuttles orbits this past month. Perhaps Earth is orbiting through a more clustered region of space rock debris.

There have been several instances of falling debris and streaking lights being witnessed across the world within the past several months that makes one wonder if there's not something more going on up there. Sure we've littered our high altitude orbits with tons of man-made "space junk" the past 4 decades. Pieces of satellites, rockets and such are bound to start falling more often and impairing astronauts objectives in space. However, something uncertain seems to be occurring lately where these falling debris sightings are becoming more frequent.

One set of theories can be explored if you look into the findings of certain Russian scientists, most notably Alexey Dmitriev. Our sun and solar system seems to be going through an unusual set of never-before-seen changes. Their theory is that our solar system is entering a higher energy region in our Milky Way galaxy that could lead to increasing changes in our system. Whether you accept those theories or not. Certainly something different appears to be happening in our region of space to cause some unusual events.

New Lights in the Sky & Canadian UFO files released

Several witnesses from Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina spotted brilliant streaking lights followed by a loud booming sound around 9:45 pm Sunday (3/29/09) evening. The Weather Service issued a statement claiming no known meteorological phenomena could explain what the witnesses saw. This follows a string of related stories of falling stars and debris within the past several months.

In other mysterious news, Canada has followed similar lines along with Britain, France and other countries in releasing previously classified government files on 9500 UFO related issues. These files also detail government actions on these revealed cases.

Some of these files indicate specific high-level government meetings and agendas that would play down the significance of these UFO related cases. The release of these documents have not been well covered by the media unlike other countries, possibly due to this evidence of documented government cover-up.

Pink Dolphin

A pink dolphin has been spotted in a Louisianan estuary lake among a pod of other normally colored dolphins. The dolphin has reddish eyes, indicating that it's an albino.

Scientists in the area have never seen a dolphin that pink before. Albino dolphins have been spotted before, but never has one been viewed with such a stunningly vivid pink. Authorities have warned curious tourists to keep their distance so not to disturb and harass this unusual young individual.

More British UFO files revealed

Britain has just revealed over a thousand pages of previously classified government documents on ufo sightings that occurred in Britain between 1987-1993. Some of these newly acknowledged incidents have been explained as natural or human-induced phenomena, but several are unsolved mysteries.

This new declassification is not the first of the ufo related files to be released by Britain and other world governments. As more of these fascinating and mysterious stories are declassified and tied to credible witnesses, perhaps more and more people will come to acknowledge that we're not alone in this universe.

UFO followed by fighter jets in AZ

On March 18, 2009, witnesses spotted a large boomerang shaped craft flying over them near Lake Havasu, Arizona. The huge craft was covered in glowing anber orb lights and was being followed by military fighter jets. The shape of the craft was clearly viewed in the night sky as it blocked out the stars as it passed over.

At least 7 people witnessed the event at a bar-b-que. One individual apparently caught the object on video, but has yet to release it. The object and fighter jets passed over the witnesses 4 times. On one of those passes, a witness viewed the object through high powered binoculars and got a good look at the lights.

Twentynine Palms Marine Corps base is only 60 miles from where the craft was spotted as seen on this map below. Could this be an experimental military aircraft? Boomerang and triangle shaped ufo sightings are extremely common throughout the world. Why would one of our U.S. experimental flying crafts be witnessed similarly all over the world? Not to mention, but these unusual shaped aircraft have also been seen in the skies for decades.

Bite on this evil Vampire Lady

An Italian archeologist has discovered evidence of precautions taken against vampires from 16th century Venice. Believing the victim of the plague was a vampire, a common folk belief back during that time, gravediggers shoved a brick into the corpse's mouth. It is thought this was done to prevent the corpse from chewing through its burial shroud and spreading the plague further.

This is not that unusual of a find. Superstitious beliefs abounded centuries ago when medicinal knowledge was barely well known. Stories of vampires were rumored throughout Europe at that time, often blamed on spreading the plague and other diseases. Many of our dark supernatural stories originated from the time of the Black Death.

With hundreds dying every day, gravediggers probably misinterpreted the natural decomposition of the human body as signs of the undead rising again. When the body decays, often times fluid will ooze from the nose and mouth, which could disintegrate the burial shroud around those openings giving the appearance that it had been chewed out.

Unusual or not, it's still bizarre to see a skeleton preserved with a brick in its mouth.

Bizarre Fish

What bizarre animals live in the deep ocean. Scientists keep discovering more and more alien creatures from the deep. The Pacific barrel eye fish, or Macropinna microstoma, has a most unusual appearance. It's giant green orb-like eyes are encased in a transparent bubble. It looks much like the cockpit of an aviator jet.

The barrel eye fish lives more than 2000 feet below the ocean surface where the water is inky black. The giant eyes allow the fish to focus on its prey in the dark waters. The eyes remain facing upward until the prey is spotted then they can rotate forwards to follow the prey around.

The two dark spots in the front of the fishes' head are not eyes, but smell organs. The fish was first discovered back in 1939 in fishermen nets, but the remains were dead and mangled. This is the first footage made of a living barrel eye fish.

So bizarre! This looks like something from another planet. The ocean is filled with alien-like creatures.

Asteroid Near Miss

An asteroid made a near miss early today as it zipped within 44,740 miles of Earth. That's about twice the distance of the highest Earth orbiting satellites or 1/7th the distance to the moon. The approximately 115 foot wide rock zipped by around 8:40 a.m. E.T.

Scientists say that it's perhaps just a little larger than the Tunguska asteroid that hit Siberia in 1908 causing a massive explosion that leveled miles and miles of uninhabited forest. If this asteroid hit the Earth it would have had the impact of a large nuclear blast. An asteroid impact the size of the Tunguska event is said to occur on average once every one or two centuries.

It is believed that the rock may be drawn in by Earth's gravity, meaning it could make several more near misses in the future. The scary fact is, this asteroid, called Asteriod 2009 DD45, was only discovered this past Friday. How many other objects are floating around out there, that we don't know about that may have an exact target on us?
